Future Skills in Global Contexts: A Transatlantic Teaching Model
In a global interdependent world defined by data-driven interactions, the ways individuals engage with data are deeply rooted in cultural values, histories, and worldviews. This proposal showcases a transatlantic teaching collaboration as a model for embedding future skills through reflective engagement with AI in the design process. The hybrid course integrates international collaboration into existing curricula, enabling students to critically explore how emerging technologies reshape creative, analytical, and decision-making practices. Working in cross disciplinary teams through global discussions, students examine differing international perspectives on AI governance, responsibility, and professional ethics while faculty focus their teaching on reflective judgment, adaptive collaboration, and ethical awareness as core competencies through complex learning environments.
