The University:Future Festival will be back from 22 to 24 June 2026 under the theme Under pressure!
The University:Future Festival (U:FF) is the largest event dedicated to the (digital) future of academic education. As a leading event on digitization in higher education and teaching, it offers guidance, networking, and inspiration. And it is community-oriented and open to everyone! The festival covers a wide range of topics related to AI, architectures, technology, strategy development, skills, didactics, and much more. It is aimed at everyone involved in the present and future of academic education: university staff and students; researchers and politicians; civil society and artists. Click here for tickets.
The University:Future Festival is a cooperation between Hochschulforum Digitalisierung, Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre and Stifterverband.
Highlights
Stronger presence
The festival includes a physical location in Berlin as well as additional partner stages in the DACH region. This allows us to accommodate up to 1,500 people at once, who can exchange ideas and network.
Community in the center
The community is involved in planning at all times to determine the focus of the content. In addition, various calls provide opportunities to actively contribute to the programme.
Broad and flexible programme
The programme is a colourful bouquet of topics and different formats: from workshops and micro-training courses to classic talks, there is something for everyone.
The theme 2026
Under Pressure describes the reality facing universities today: financial pressure, technological transformation, social division and demographic change are just some of the challenges they face. We do not ignore these problems, but place them at the centre of the discussion in order to seek solutions together.
Because pressure can also be fuel: it shapes, accelerates and brings about new things. Pressure tests which ideas and structures are sustainable and which need to be rethought. Pressure situations reveal what makes universities resilient – and we want to make that visible at U:FF.
The University:Future Festival programme is divided into seven tracks. The tracks reflect the topics that matter to our communities. Click here for the seven tracks.
