About me
Laurenz Scheunemann, together with Ilan Siebert, is Co-Founder of Community Rat, a social start-up utilising lottery-based, deliberative participation for membership organisations such as associations, chambers, cooperatives or universities.
Laurenz has worked on policy design, citizen participation and democratic innovation at ifok GmbH, the World Bank's Behavioural Science Team, the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) and the European Commission's Policy Lab, among others. He was Mercator Fellow on International Affairs and is a certified mediator. Laurenz studied Social Intervention & Policy Evaluation (M.Sc., Oxford University), Politics (B.A.) and Psychology (B.Sc.). He has designed and implemented numerous citizens' assemblies, e.g. for the German Bundestag and the European Commission.
