About me

Raul is an inclusion activist, founder of SOZIALHELDEN and studied communications. His work in the areas of inclusion and social commitment has been honored with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Grimme Online Award, among others. In 2014, his autobiography “Dachdecker wollte ich eh nicht werden – Das Leben aus der Rollstuhlperspektive” was published. Since 2015, he has hosted “KRAUTHAUSEN – face to face,” a talk format on Sport1. He regularly gives talks on the topics of inclusion, diversity and social coexistence and presents the podcasts “Im Aufzug” and “Die neue Norm”, among others. His podcast “How can I make a difference?” was published in October 2021 as a book of the same name by Edition Körber Verlag. His next nonfiction book will be published in March “Wer Inklusion will, findet einen Weg. Wer sie nicht will, findet Ausreden” (Rowohlt Verlag), in which he raises fundamental questions about inclusion in Germany and encourages readers to confront their own ableism.
