Kamal Bhattacharya is a computer scientist, technology executive, and academic leader whose career centers on putting advanced technology to work for people. He serves as Vice-Rector for Research & Transfer and Professor of Computer Science at IU International University and is a Board member at World Education Services. His leadership roles spanning three continents, including VP at IBM Research, founding director of IBM Research – Africa, CEO of Nairobi's iHub, and Chief Innovation Officer at Safaricom and Co-Founder of Future, an affordability-focused fintech, reflect a consistent focus on translating technology into practical impact for communities that need it most. He holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Göttingen University.
