Dr Maik Arnold, Dipl.-Kfm., FRSA, is Professor of Social Work Management at Hochschule Nordhausen, Germany. From 2017–2024 he was Professor at Fachhochschule Dresden, serving as Vice-President for Education and Teaching and later for Research, Innovation, and Transfer. From 2013–2017 he was Managing Director and Research Associate at the Centre for Research, Further Education, and Counselling of the Protestant University of Applied Sciences for Social Work in Dresden. He graduated in Management and Intercultural Communication at Chemnitz University of Technology and the University of Strathclyde, as well as Protestant Theology, and received his PhD in Social Sciences from Ruhr-Universität Bochum in 2009. He is a certified systemic coach for change management and an intercultural trainer.
