About me

Prof. Dr. Doris Weßels is Professor of Information Systems with a focus on Project Management and Natural Language Processing at Kiel University of Applied Sciences. After studying mathematics, business administration and computer science at the WWU in Münster, she earned her doctorate at the Institute of Finance and Investment at the University of Oldenburg. Since 2021, she has been a member of the KI-ExpertLab Hochschullehre of the BMBF-funded pilot project KI-Campus, where she initiated the topic group “AI and Academic Writing”. On September 1, 2022, she founded the Virtual Competence Center “Teaching and Learning Writing with Artificial Intelligence – Tools and Techniques for Education and Science” at Kiel University of Applied Sciences together with the associated partner KI-Campus and other experts and teachers from German universities in the fields of computer science, educational research and writing didactics.
