Werden wir jetzt dümmer, wenn wir mit AI lernen, oder nicht?
Macht KI uns dümmer – oder einfach nur bequemer? Wir haben das in einem Experiment mit 275 Studierenden in einer Programmiervorlesung an der TUM getestet. Drei Gruppen, eine bockschwere Aufgabe zu paralleler Programmierung in Java, 90 Minuten Zeit: Eine Gruppe nutzte unseren KI-Tutor Iris, der nur Hinweise gibt und nie die Lösung verrät. Eine zweite Gruppe bekam ChatGPT ohne Leitplanken. Die dritte Gruppe arbeitete klassisch mit Google und StackOverflow. Das Ergebnis hat uns überrascht. Vor allem, weil wir nie über Motivation bei der KI Nutzung reden... warum eigentlich?
