Food Vision for Universities
Let`s tell the tale of food in the future University. What is growing between our buildings? Who prepares and serves the food? What does it taste and smell like? Where and how do we eat? What stories do we tell each other while we eat? How is the topic of food linked to other areas of universities?
This workshop will focus on the topic of food as an example of how intersections with all 7 areas of the whole institution approach can be found. How can food help to address the necessary institutional transformation?
The method of dream journey and collaging will be applied to collaboratively (re)imagine our universities. Results from a case study from action research at the University of Hohenheim will be shared, where students used this method to reimagine their university.
We will create collages of our visions, share them and discuss how our work could help to catalyse these visions in universities.
Method: First participants will individually go through a dream journey, have time to write down their impressions, share these in small groups and co-create collages of their visions. They will be shared in the planeary and discussion about own role will follow.
