Call for Volunteers – Jury
The University:Future Festival could not exist in its current form without dedicated community members. For 2026, we are once again looking for volunteers who are willing to contribute in various ways to the success of the festival. Support includes assisting with the selection of program contributions and digital moderation activities during the festival.

The U:FF usually receives between 550 and 600 submissions. The selection is made primarily by track juries composed of community members in a two-stage process. This ensures that the process is fair, quality-oriented, and feasible in terms of time. If you would like to actively participate in this selection process, we welcome your application to become a volunteer jury member.
Call for Volunteers: The Process
We have a two-stage jury process:
- First, track juries consisting of 8-12 people evaluate all submissions for a thematic track. We are looking for you for this part of the process: the majority of the juries should consist of community members.
- In a second step, a program jury consisting of the organizers and jury chairs selects the final entries.
As a jury member, you will of course receive a briefing, online training, and an introduction to the Sessionize platform used for evaluation in advance. Incidentally, jury members can also submit sessions themselves as part of the call. Of course, you are not allowed to evaluate your own submission.
Effort
Depending on the track, the workload for jury work, including briefings, consultations, evaluation, and jury meetings, can range from 8 to 12 working hours. All jury work, including jury meetings, takes place remotely.
Planned deadlines
- Online training for jury members: 11 and 13 February 2026 (both dates are identical in content)
- Evaluation phase: 17 February to 13 March 2026
- Track jury meetings: 16 and 17 March 2026
