About me
Andrea Scott is a scholar of university teaching and learning, with a particular focus on student belonging, student engagement, and academic communication. She received her Ph.D. in comparative literature from the University of Chicago. She taught at Princeton University for five years, serving as Associate Director of the Writing Program from 2010-2013. Since 2013, she has taught at Pitzer College, a member of The Claremont Colleges. She currently serves as a research associate of the Center for Teaching and Learning at the European University Viadrina and as a tenured Associate Professor and Director of College Writing at Pitzer College. She has published widely on inclusive pedagogies, higher education administration, and writing studies on the both sides of the Atlantic.
