About me
Daniel D. Hromada is since August 2018 Juniorprofessor for Digital Education at Berlin Einstein Center Digital Future / Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). Born in Slovakia, he holds a degree from Charles University (humanities), University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis (linguistics), Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (natural and artificial cognition), University Paris 8 (cognitive psychology) and Slovak Technical University (cybernetics). Father of two children, he’s a founder and first senator of oldest Slovak digital community kyberia.sk. An advocate of open software (Linux) and hardware (RaspberryPi), his main design project at UdK / ECDF is the construction of a “digital Fibel”: a speech-based, book-like, Do-It-Yourself digital artifact helping elementary school pupils learn how to read.
