Learning Spaces for 21st Century Skills
With the funding initiative Learning Architectures (2021-2024), the Stifterverband and the Dieter Schwarz Stiftung support and strengthen higher education institutions in the development and implementation of future-oriented learning spaces, connect stakeholders and anchor the topic in the higher education policy debate.
In the context of the Corona pandemic, there has been a rapid increase in digital learning formats - even before that, changes in the world of life and work have placed new competence demands on students and learners. To enable innovations in education in the form of nhttps://sessionize.com/image/f029-36o36o2-wNTdpySzZDi2RVP8P6N5B2.jpgew learning and teaching formats, it needs appropriate spaces. User-centered learning spaces that address competence-oriented teaching and promote individualised, collaborative, research-based and digital learning.
What can such learning spaces look like? And how can they be developed and implemented? With regard to these questions Piet van der Zanden will present the PULSE building of the TU Delft and the TU Delft cookbook.
The PULSE buildung - first energy neutral building on campus - is a central place bringing students and lecturers together and supports new types of education like interactive seminars, flipped classroom and video conferencing. The design oft the building was created in close cooperation with students and lecturers - it focuses on their current needs and – where possible – their expected future wishes.
