Sophie Foster

Über mich

After completing a bachelor’s degree in Literature and Art at Newcastle University in the UK, Sophie Foster worked as a contemporary artist and art educator in the field of lifelong learning. In 2016, she was accepted for the master’s programme “Public Art and New Artistic Strategies” under Prof. Danica Dakić at Bauhaus Universität, Weimar. From there, her work evolved into socially engaged practices, designing creative teaching and learning experiences for collaboration, exchange and experimentation. She also has an interest in hybrid spaces, finding creative ways to connect the digital with the physical. In addition, her teaching experience is vast, having lectured at various universities across the UK and Germany and is currently working on the project Lernraum.Bauhaus as a Media Didactics Assistant, part of Institutional Development at Bauhaus Universität, Weimar.
