The sixth edition of the University:Future Festival took place from June22 to 24, 2026 under the motto Under Pressure<\/em>. For three days, the festival focused on the current challenges facing the higher education system\u2014and at the same time highlighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can universities remain capable of taking action amid growing pressure for change? And what solutions do we need to address financial challenges, technological upheavals, social tensions, and demographic change? Hardly any other event offers as much space to explore these questions as the University:Future Festival 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 6,433 registrations, more than 4,500 active participants, over 550 speakers<\/a>, and more than 290 program items <\/a>in German and English, the University:Future Festival 2026 once again confirmed its role as the largest event on the future of higher education in the DACH region. Lectures, discussions, workshops, and hands-on training sessions provided a wide range of opportunities for exchange, networking, and collaborative learning. For three days, the event focused on the key challenges facing universities, opening up space for new perspectives, critical reflection, and collaborative solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2026, the U:FF once again took place in a hybrid format, in which digital participation played a central role. This made it possible to reach even more people and facilitated networking and the exchange of knowledge regardless of location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the program, a total of between 10 and 14 (digital and in-person) stages hosted events simultaneously. The five in-person stages were located in Berlin<\/a>, Hamburg<\/a>, Braunschweig<\/a>, Nuremberg<\/a>, Essen<\/a>, and Graz<\/a>. Once again this year, the festival’s digital concept made it possible to experience personal program highlights live or afterwards, regardless of location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
