University:Future Festival 2023 was organised by Hochschulforum Digitalisierung<\/a> and Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre<\/a>. It was supported by Stifterverband<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Hochschulforum Digitalisierung<\/a> orchestrates the discourse on higher education in the digital age. As a central initiator, we inform, advise and network with members of universities, policy makers, business representatives and society. The Hochschulforum Digitalisierung was founded in 2014. It is a joint initiative of the Donors’ Association for the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities in Germany (Stifterverband f\u00fcr die Deutsche Wissenschaft), the CHE Center for Higher Education Development and the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK). It is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.<\/p>\n\n\n

Established in 2020, the Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre<\/a> aims to enable innovation in teaching and learning at universities and to strengthen the renewal capacity of university teaching overall and on an ongoing basis. The foundation supports suitable projects that are anchored at individual universities or implemented in a network. In addition, it creates networking opportunities for the actors. It also supports the exchange of project results, successes and challenges and makes shared knowledge available. The foundation’s program and funding benefit the entire spectrum of the German higher education landscape. The Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre is a trust foundation under the umbrella of the non-profit Toepfer Stiftung gGmbH. All funding for support, program, organization and administration is provided by the federal and state governments (150 million euros annually from 2021). The first funding announcement “Strengthening university teaching through digitization” will be followed by further calls for proposals with other thematic focuses, application eligibility and target groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"AI<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The AI Campus<\/a> is the learning platform for artificial intelligence with free online courses, videos and podcasts to strengthen AI and data skills. As a research and development project, the AI Campus is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The Stifterverband, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI), NEOCOSMO and the mmb Institute have been developing the AI Campus together with numerous partners since 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n

The state portal ORCA.nrw<\/a> (Open Resources Campus NRW) is the internet portal of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia to support and promote the digitalisation of studying and teaching. As a joint platform of the public universities, universities of applied sciences and colleges of art and music in North Rhine-Westphalia, ORCA.nrw has officially been up and running since September 2021. The ORCA.nrw office is located at the Ruhr University Bochum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stifterverband <\/a>is a joint initiative started by companies and foundations \u2013 the only one in Germany to be devoted entirely to consulting, networking and promoting improvements in the fields of education, science and innovation.
